It's nearly impossible to take a picture of Elly without Canon; they are always together. Watching their love grow is truly amazing.

When we found out baby #2 was going to be another girl, I could see the disappointment in some people's faces. Many people expressed concern for Alex. "Would he be okay with another daughter [and no son]?" they would ask. At the time, these questions made me angry. I felt like it devalued the life that was growing inside me. And to be honest...I was secretly hoping for a girl.

I have two sisters whom I adore. I am so excited my girls will be able to experience the love and friendship of a sister. It's such a special bond. And I can already see it is a relationship they will build on their own, apart from me.

Sisterhood is on my mind because my sisters are coming in town at the end of this week. I can't wait. I am definitely in need of some sister love.
