Things that made me happy today:1) shopping at Target while the girls napped
2) talking on the phone to my sister and best friend while shopping
3) coming home to find Elly dressed in only a red coat
4) finding out Canon used her naptime to CLEAN HER ROOM!

The past few days I've felt a little lighter, a little happier. Having Alex around to help out with the girls has been really nice. I've been able to bury myself in books. Sleep in. Get my shopping done during the day instead of having to wait until the girls go to bed at night. Just having a few extra moments to myself has been very restoring. I didn't realize how weighted down I have felt lately until some of the burden was lifted off. Of course I know my life is a piece of cake, but even so...sometimes it feels good to have a bit of a break.

I am happy about my new rug. Very shallow thing to be happy about...but it makes me smile every time I walk into the living room. My day may have its ups and downs, tears and frustrations...but the rug stays constant (at least until someone spills fruit punch on it!) and makes me happy :).
Elly looks so cute in her red coat and hat. I loved talking on the phone to you, too.
Things that make me happy today:
1. Going to a job that gives me so much potential for professional growth.
2. Hearing my daughter "read" the entire book, "Oh, The Places You'll Go."
3. The snow covering my roof signaling the start of a seasonal holiday season.
4. Snuggling in my warm bed with my hubby by my side.
5. The thought that I will be seeing my friends and family next week!
Oh my! Elly is super cute in that hat. It makes me miss the red coat and hat Cora could fit in last year.
Today I am happy because my husband did the dishes. It's the little things.

Happy for so many reasons: my predisposition, hearing Sophie sing along enthusiastically to a song this morning, feeling passionate about what I do, feeling loved and loving...and so much more
Lots of lovely happy things here - isn't it great?! Having a little support makes a huge difference to how happy one can feel so it's good to hear you're feeling some. And that little red-coated sweetheart is gorgeous!
