still time
I'm not a door-to-door kind of girl. Or a phone person. So...I constantly feel like I'm not doing my part. I'm NOT doing my part. The least I can do is post this little video on my blog and hope you are all registered to vote.

I don't listen to much NPR in the car since the news portion is always about the horrible things going on in the world, and it's just too harsh for little ears. But today I had it on thinking the girls were preoccupied and oblivious. When the commenter mentioned John McCain, Canon immediately perked up. "John McCain. I know him. But I like that other guy better. What's his name? Oh, yeah. Barack Obama. I'm going to make up a song about Barack Obama." And she did. And it was beautiful. And then she wanted me to make up my own song about Barack Obama. Which I did.
Ahh....the brainwashing has begun.

By the way...I know celebrities and politics mixed together can be annoying. But my feeling is that celebrity does influence some people. And if an actor can use his name to encourage even one person to register to vote, then it's a good cause.
I, for one, am interested in the posting of the lyrics of both songs...
or maybe a video!

I'm glad you commented here, Christy, because I don't really care about celebrities' opinions and often want to do the exact opposite of what they say. That being said, I agree, some people put a lot of stock in what celebrities say, and I think the message to get out and vote is good for everyone to hear. Nobody can disagree with that! So... I'm voting. Not because Leo told me too, but because it's my right, my privilege, and my duty!
P.S. Wes and I just got our absentee ballots in the mail yesterday. We started voting absentee 4 years ago, and it has been great! So much easier if you have little kids!!! I would highly recommend it.
