I'm an aunt! Baby Jake is here. The timing couldn't be better; I was definitely in need of some good news. I hope to meet the newest member of our family this weekend. If I do, I'll definitely ask permission to post a picture here. Yay!
(And for the record: it feels great to have a new baby in the family....that isn't mine. I just realized the other day that Elly is the same age Canon was when I decided to get pregnant again. I was a little worried I would hit this point and some sort of animalistic urge to reproduce would strike. But it hasn't. Can you hear the sigh of relief from Alex?)

Oh yeah! You definitely are deserving of some positive news. You've even brought a little cheer to my small corner of the world, too.
