narrow depth of field

Today Kate touched on something over at Shutter Sisters that I've been thinking about a lot lately. I look through the thousands of pictures I have taken and so few are of him. And the focus of my camera lens is an absolute reflection of my life's current focus. This is the last picture I took of him that I really like, and I took it in....June. That's sad. I miss him.

We are passing parental units. Conversations in the evening usually center around the girls until we collapse from the exhaustion of our hectic lives as parents. So...I'm taking on the challenge to make a conscious effort to focus more on him with my heart and my lens. Because the truth is...I adore him. The father...yes. But also the man before.

And if anyone else feels like joining me in this challenge, go on over to Shutter Sisters and post your picture.

That is very sweet of you to say. I know he tries real hard and loves you guys so much. Like on the trip with all the fellas...he was talking about you and the girls and how much he misses y'all. He said he really missed you alot. I love you guys so much. Thank you for everything you do for me. I'll see you in a couple weeks. fav uncle of ALL time!!! haha

If only I could take on another challenge - it would definitely be a photo challenge! But, I'm so glad you are - and look forward to seeing more of him, too!

Nothing like falling in love all over again with your husband.
