For me, snow days offer a free pass at mothering. There's no pressure to run to story time, or creative movement class, or group play. I don't feel any guilt over spending the day in our pajamas, watching movies, eating grilled cheese, and coloring.
The snow has melted, but that's okay; I feel refreshed.
Elly enjoyed the snow from inside this time around.

Oh wow - it snowed in NC. Holy smokin' cow! Well, we've got you beat because it's going to be too cold this weekend to snow. Yeah, a HIGH of 4 degrees on Saturday. Beat that! hahaha. Glad the girls got to play a little in the white fluffy stuff!
Nilsa - You probably won't be all too surprised when I tell you that public schools were closed here (the accumulation was over an inch after all.) And even though everything melted in the afternoon, my yoga class was canceled tonight. It's a wonder you guys up north survive!
Four degrees....yikes!
All we got was stupid cold rain.
That's so funny that you posted about the snow day...I posted about my snow day before I even read your blog. We spent the day the same way as you, in our PJ's and stress free. It was a good day to be a mommy.
Love you.
I love looking at the snow from inside too!
The boys were so excited looking at the snow as we drove into Concord yesterday. It was mostly melted though!
