the bad...the crazy...the good

Elly and I feel the same about taking the Christmas card photo. (For the record, I picked her up immediately after this shot.) It has been IMPOSSIBLE to get the girls together in a decent picture for our card this year. I've been trying since Thanksgiving. I tried twice to take pictures of them playing with a strand of lights. Canon wasn't into it at all, and Elly kept putting the bulbs in her mouth (occasionally the strand would go dark, and we would find the missing bulb in her mouth). I even took my camera in the car. I figured I would at least get them both in the frame as long as they were strapped in their car seats, but those obviously didn't turn out too well. I think I'll give Elly time to forget our little photo shoot today before I try again. Poor thing.

My sister is one lucky girl. To read of her tale involving an early morning run, cash blowing in the wind and a good cop, check out my brother-in-law's blog. It's a pretty good story.

Alex and I went on a date tonight. Dinner just the two of us and then wandering around a bookstore like the old days. I bought this, so I'm off to read.

1)Why do kids hate the camera?

2)I wish I could find money on the ground- I'd be happy with $5!

3)I need to get back into reading- I miss it.

4)Your blog header is sooo pretty!

Awww, poor Elly. Between you and Alex, maybe you could "create" a card with the two girls (e.g., take pictures separately and photoshop them together! I'll never tell your secret! :-)

Good deeds come back in spades. Good for Lauren!

Love the new blog picture. I need something wintery now for mine ... time to take some pictures of the fresh snow!

I confess we spent three hours last Sunday trying to get the perfect family photo.

I can honestly say that I have always viewed jogging as the most horrible activity in the world until now. Where are my jogging shoes???

Poor Elly. Sometimes a little torture is necessary, though, for that picture perfect moment. Give Elly a big kiss from me!

Um, I think I lost $3,230 about 2.5 months ago near where your sister jogs. Tee hee. What a great story! Tell her I said Hi and congrats! Merry Christmas to you, Christy... :)
