A friend from high school and I try to get together with our girls every Monday. Because of vacation schedules this summer, we've missed quite a few Monday playdates. Canon was excited to learn we were back on schedule today for a little play time at the mall and a ride (or two) on the carousel. As we were walking out the door to meet Maddy and her mommy, Canon said, "I love Maddy. She's my best friend in the whole wide world."
I know right now she really doesn't understand what a best friend is, but one day she will. I am excited for her and the relationships she will form. I spent the past four days with my best friend. Our lives spin separately, but the high school reunion gave us a rare opportunity to spend some time together. I can only hope my girls end up with friends as wonderful as she is to me.
By the way...my best friend in the whole wide world posted a couple reunion pictures. I think these are the only ones I'm willing to share. These were taken early enough in the evening.

We had a great time and look forward to many more, our playdates always put Maddy in the best mood. She sang (I have no idea what) all the way home.
