That spider is beautifully disgusting. And creepy. And pretty cool looking in a colorful, graphic arthropod kind of way. Between your post and Jenny's post, I'm officially having nightmares tonight. Have I mentioned how much I dislike spiders and hate snakes?! Yuck.
Hey, cool. Thanks for the break from mommy stuff. :) Seriously though, those spiders in particular will keep your yard bug free more so than other spiders.
Wow....that thing is huge. Eric left our garbage can in the garage a few weeks ago, after he filled it with yard debris. Several days later, he came out to the garage to get something, only to find THOUSANDS of baby spiders all over his work bench. He says he killed them all, or at least banished them from the garage, and has moved the garbage can back outdoors.
Needless to say, I try to spend very little time in the garage these days.
i love when we get this kind of spider around our house. it's beautiful. i've heard they keep bugs away, too. plus, they don't stay in the same place for very long.
Holy cow! We JUST knocked that exact spider off our bedroom window. I thought for a moment that you had the picture that I took of our little friend. How bizzare. My husband screamed like a girl when the spider started climbing back up the broom handle.

That picture freaks me out. I absolutley HATE spiders. Seriously, that thing is the size of a small child!
That spider? HUGE! I'm not sure I could live in the same house as it... good thing it's outside. =)
We have 3 of those - no kidding - in our back yard and 1 in the front. I HATE them! Donnie claims they keep the other bugs away. But I still see bugs.
