I promised her she could get a trim before school started. My idea of a trim was one-fourth of an inch. Her idea was a chin-length bob. We compromised. I tried to distract myself as three/four inches were cut from her lovely blonde hair. As you can see from this photo, the girl loves her new hair. She looks so grown up now, which is quite fitting since Monday is her first day of school.
(To make matters worse, Tuesday is Elly's first day of preschool. Next week is going to be rough.)

I am with you. I will be glad when this week of firsts are over!
She's so lovely. Let's hope she loves school just as much as she loves her new hair!
So pretty!
Love, Mae Mae
My advice: make plans to do something special with a friend on those first couple of days!
very nice haircut! I've been feeling a bit emotional about Fen going to school next week too....which is weird, because she's already gone for a semester! But I'll be thinking of you next week as I do the school drop-off too :). I think the first morning that both your girls are gone at school, you should treat yourself to a pedicure or a yummy coffee...it's a big milestone!!
she does look very grown up and pretty. good luck next week.
Beautiful!!
She does look grown up. The fact that she has an opinion about how she wants her hair cut just confirms how grown up she is.
Super duper cute! Love the new hair due Canon!
She is so beautiful! But I feel your pain Christy, i would give my right arm for those beautiful, long locks! Good luck tomorrow with school!!
