in bed
For the first few years of our marriage Alex and I slept in a full-size bed. I hesitantly agreed to a queen when we moved into our house several years ago. I just felt that distance in the bed could easily correlate to distance in the marriage. But the truth is...we don't cuddle in our sleep. So last week we upgraded to a king-size bed and passed the queen on to Elly since she had long ago outgrown her little toddler bed. And I love this bed. All I want to do is be in the bed. Our whole little family fits just perfectly. This photo is of us on a Friday night....just hanging out in bed. Turns out that more space in the bed actually brought us closer together.

I like the art work above the bed too
That is great. I want a king-size bed too! Curtis and I have been discussing it for a while. Maybe Cora will hurry up and outgrow her current bed.
p.s. I like the art too.
I love our king-size bed...it's our family hang-out place too :). Enjoy!
King size rules.
Love this family photo in your new bed. Looks like such a warm and cozy place to snuggle with your family and the art work looks fabulous!
yea, I agree with Lindsey. Nice piece.
you'll never be able to sleep in a smaller bed again!!! and that is an awesome family portrait.
I love discovering similarities I have with blogfriends: my living room is painted that exact same color and that exact same klimt is hanging on the wall!
I love the colors in your bedroom and the picture over your bed. :) we have a king size bed and absolutely love it :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors of your room. And the people in your room, too. Sometimes having more space allows us to be our unique selves without feeling crowded by others. If only we had the room for a king...
A king size bed is on our list of wants! Did Alex paint the painting above your bed?
Yes, I love my king bed too. Only problem is when Evan comes in at 2am, he doesn't lay straight. He wants to put his head on Eric and his feet in my side.
