blur

I registered Canon for school today. A kindergarten teacher assessed her while I filled out paperwork and then we took a tour of the school. I made it to the last stop, the cafeteria, before I let a tear fall.

On Ryan's first day of school, I wore sunglasses the whole time I was there. That was one of the hardest things ever. Wait Riley will register Friday!

Oh, Christy. It will get better, I promise. There will be hard days, but it will be ok. You're definitely not alone.

I totally have to call you...want to hear all about it. I'm still in shock that it's already time for Canon to go to Kindergarten. How can that be? I still remember when you called me from Chicago to tell me you were pregnant.

Hope it wasn't too traumatic for you today. Love you.

I barely made it to your second sentence before I teared up. I can't imagine the feeling.

I felt a little teary just reading this so I can imagine how your heart was swelled. just think of all the proud tears to come as you watch her grow and show the whole world what she's capable of.

Guess what? When the kindergarteners start they are once again the babies you thought you'd lost. For the parents paying attention, kindergarten is a found year, a bonus round to be well appreciated.
