Today we celebrated change and country and history and hope. Sharing today with my children was pretty amazing. Emotional and exciting. I am so proud and honored to be a part of this great country. Today was a very good day.

I thought about you all day today, knowing how much joy this day would bring you (and most of the nation). I was there with you in spirit, celebrating in my own cute little Uncle Sam hat. Hooray for today!

how wonderful to share such a moment with your children! I remember sharing clinton's election and inauguration with my daughter when she was little(we forget that election was also a political shift) and having a deep sense of hope for her future. it's so comforting as a parent to have faith in a leader.
