revisiting

I love this photograph. Just a blur of her back there, head tilted back soaking in the warmth of the sun, letting the water droplets land on her face. An impeding trip to Chicago has stirred emotions I don't often let prick at my heart. And suddenly I can't get enough of her. I want to breathe her. Touch her. Kiss her. Hold her. Pet her hair. Snuggle with her. Hug her. Watch her sleep. Hold hands with her. I'm driving her crazy.

I haven't been back to Chicago since I packed up my baby and drove all night long to my parent's house. That was nearly four years ago, but it seems like a lifetime.

that photo is just pure glee!

hope your trip is safe and you don't miss her too, too much (although that's probably not possible).

Those intense emotions from a tumultuous time in your life not too long ago have a way of bubbling back to the surface, especially with the trigger event of traveling back to Chicago. I hope that the trip is wonderful and that missing your girl doesn't dampen things too much.

Be safe and have a fabulous trip! Love you.
