political pick-me-up

I've been in desperate need of some positive political energy, and a big Obama rally did just the trick. Alex and I joined tens of thousands of supporters in downtown Charlotte today. Lines to hear Obama speak stretched and wrapped and weaved and curved and stretched some more. And though we weren't able to see him on the stage, we could hear him. We stood there surrounded by thousands of people hushed and hopeful to hear every single word. There was an energy there, positive, excited, hopeful. I feel much better now.

The only bummer of the day was that my camera battery died. So the only decent shots I got were of security and secret service.

Man, I wanted to go there so bad. We even talked about it, but we just couldn't make it from church to there in time. Hope you had fun!

But, but but ... you got to hear Obama speak. Inspiring to say the least. Yay!

I saw his plane when I was taking off on Sunday.

I saw him when he spoke at Winthrop U a few months ago before the primaries... It was really, really inspiring. Glad you got to hear him too... there were 30,000 people there... kudos to both of you for risking the traffic! :)

Yeah, that's how it felt at the convention, too. So awesome to be surrounded by so much positive energy and to feel so charged by it. I'm so glad you were able to go!
