summertime

Speaking of plans for the summer, my mom is studying Mozart in Europe this summer. She said that between bike rides to castles and listening to Mozart concertos she would check my blog to keep up with the girls while she is away. So...this post is for her; just a few random summer pictures for grandma.

Elly was pretty quick on her feet and determined to get in the pool whenever she got a chance, bathing suit or not.

I've got to admit, being a stay-at-home mom in the summer makes me feel a little guilty. The fact that Alex has to go to work and the girls and I get to play outside all day just doesn't seem fair. I feel like I'm cheating somehow, like I've called in sick to work, but I'm not really sick. But I'm definitely trying to enjoy it while it lasts.

I love the pictures! I think it's funny that both of your girls seem to have this innate love for the pool. It has to be in the genes.

You should feel guilty. At least feel guilty for me since Bryan has no guilt as I run thru the house in the am getting the kids and I ready, as he lounges.

I am envious of you! You are what summers and kids are made of. ENJOY it!!!

I have the same guilty feelings- our days consist of going to the pool or the beach. I feel like I'm forgetting to do something!

BTW-I love the girls' matching swimsuits!

Thank you. The pictures and blog do make me feel connected. And the memories I have of time in the summer with You, Lauren, and Lindsey are precious and wonderful. Cherish, cherish, the moments.

Love,
Mom

I feel the same way sometimes. Eric is off slaving away and we're having fun every day. Hey...somebody has to have this job, though, for these little ones we've been given.

Instead of feeling guilty, why not "take one for the team." Enjoy each and every spare moment you have so the rest of us working folk know at least someone else is having fun.

BTW, the girls, as always, are adorable! Don't forget to include pictures of yourself - I'm sure your mom misses her baby, too. :-)

My favorite photo is the one of Canon. Enjoy the summer days with your girls. You deserve it for all the hard work you put into raising your beautiful girls.

The girls seem to grow up more in every photo you take. I'm so jealous of your mom's summer. Good for her. As for your feelings of guilt please leave those behind. You have undertaken the most important career path anyone can take own. Continue to make it fun as you all deserve it!
