doctor's orders

Alex touts the weekend after his vasectomy as one of the best weekends of his life. It's a bit of a dramatization, but there is some truth to it. I mean...how could it not be great?! He was in mild discomfort. He had prescription pain medication should things get out of hand. He lay on the couch ALL weekend and played video games. I kept the kids out of the house, returning home only to place food on a little table by the couch. The life of a king.

This week a visit to a different specialist earned him another minor surgery. He basically walked in the house, announced the date of his procedure and then did a little "I'm having surgery" dance. Yes...a dance. Because apparently it takes an operation for a parent to get some rest and relaxation.

I think I need to see my doctor.

Alex is a hoot!

I think he'll be signing up for another surgery if this time around goes as well as last time. He's going to need to go to a support group for people addicted to surgery!

Hahaha! That's awesome. Hey, those hard working daddies need to take what they can get!

Sorry... it's Jenny. I hate it when Wes logs onto my computer.

Too funny. Sort of. Hope all is well in the house of Blythe and Bonnie. And maybe you should gently remind Alex he can give you a day like that for no reason at all. Ahem!
