This is the last week of the theme 'celebration' at Self Portrait Challenge. To be honest, I really don't feel like celebrating.....at all. Before things went terribly wrong last week, I had planned to dedicate this post to my blog's birthday. Considering everything that is going on, I've decided to keep the birthday 'celebration' short.After searching for an acquaintance (to ask her a question concerning dance) and stumbling upon her beautiful blog, I decided to start a blog of my own. I had no idea how important and meaningful this space on the internet would be for me. It has reunited me with old friends, kept me in better touch with the friends I have, and even introduced me to a new friend or two. It has allowed me to archive my daughters' lives. It has encouraged me to pick up my camera more often. It has given me a creative and emotional outlet. It has opened up my world to new things, new ideas, and new people.
Happy Birthday, Blythe and Bonnie! I think you are pretty cool.
