motherhood

This morning as Canon, Elly and I were rushing out the door, I remembered I hadn't taken my iron supplement. I told Canon to wait a minute so I could take my medicine. She replied, "When I'm a mommy, I'm going to like medicine and gum." Ah...yes. The perks of adulthood: medicine and gum.

And in other motherhood news, it is my dear mother's birthday. The picture above was obviously taken a while ago, before children controlled her life. Growing up, I had a fairly narrow view of who she was. She was my mom; that was it. But now that I am an adult and a mother, I'm able to appreciate the woman she was and is apart from me. It's pretty cool. Happy Birthday, Mom.

Wow, you look just like your mom. Happy Birthday to her from the creepy mask faced stalker (who now has a mohawk). ;)

In my opinion Aunt Sandy is by far one of the most beautiful women I have ever met, inside and out. I miss her!
