Something about the change in environment during our vacation spurred the girls into development. There have been some changes around here.
Canon has outsmarted the safety gadget on the door. She now walks in and out of the house freely. (She's a good kid and usually asks, but still...it's weird.)
She also has started deciding when she is ready to take a nap. She says she is tired, walks up stairs, closes the door and gets in bed. I'm still a little shocked. And it's throwing off my schedule. I had the girls napping at the same time, but Canon's initiative has things off kilter.
Elly is now officially a climbing machine. She learned to climb the stairs. And yesterday I walked out of a room and walked back in a minute later to find her standing in a chair. I really wish I could have seen that in progress, because even now I'm not sure how she did it.
So I guess I won't be able to sit around here eating bon bons all day anymore. These kids actually need supervision now.

Ahh... if only the bon bon thing were true.
So, if I come visit you in October, we really won't be able to sit by the pool eating yummy goodness while the girls mind themselves? Guess I'll have to jump in the sandbox with them. Oh darn! :)
Sorry C - that was me in Comment 2 - for some reasons Google deleted my nickname. Boo.
I love Elly's little outfit on the stairs. I still look at baby girl clothes occasionally- I'm hoping for some girl grandbabies one day!
Love that cute little baby butt!
