pick one

Every so often, Alex and I have the ridiculous conversation about who in Hollywood we find attractive. It's a bit childish, but always interesting. I like to know what my husband finds attractive (other than me, of course). I'm starting to wonder why he even entertains these conversations because I always end up condemning him. If he answers with "Scarlett Johansson," then I give him about ten reason why that's just stupid. Or if he answers with "Jessica Biel," then I make him feel common. I mean...doesn't every guy find her attractive?

My answer of late has been Clive Owen. It's not like I get weird crushes on celebrities*, but if I have to pick one actor in Hollywood, he's my guy. And it's more than just a physical thing. I like that he seems to be a family man, a faithful husband and loving father. Believe it or not, that's the kind of guy I'm attracted to these days. If Clive were ever to leave his wife, he'd definitely be bumped from my list.

So...Alex and I both got a good laugh out of this quote pulled from an old O Magazine.


But I have my own faithful husband and loving father of my children, so I have no need for Clive. And I know that if Jessica Biel ever tried to seduce Alex, he'd probably say, "Sorry Jess, I've got a good thing going at home."

*Okay, so I have had one freakish celebrity obsession. Chad Lowe. I was in love with Jesse from Life Goes On. I was 12-years-old and positive that we would get married one day. I wrote it off as a childhood crush until I actually met him when I was 23. The pre-teen girl in me totally embarrassed the adult me. When it was all over, I stole the sign-in sheet where Julianna Margulies had listed him as her guest. Not even his autograph, but proof that he had been there. Yes...I think that counts as a "weird crush."
