self portrait challenge: water

I can't believe I was ever anxious about submitting a photograph to the SPC. It's such a safe, open forum. I received such kind comments on my premier post last week. So...I'm back again. The element I chose to focus on this week was water....obviously. I've written about it before, but I'm so amazed by the power and magnificence of the ocean. As I kid, I always just assumed I would live in a house with an ocean view. The thought of such a home was the only thing that eased the depression that came over me at the end of our summer vacations. There's just something about the sea.

I need to credit my girl Nilsa since I basically yanked an idea from one of her self portraits.

Love your copycat photo! It's funny, but even though they are taken from the same angle, they inspire two completely different emotions from within. (Well, for me at least). Nice job!!

Ah, Kim. No need to be envious. It's still just a dream. And when I look at my fair-skinned family, I realize it will always be just a dream.
