our funk

We are in a funk, and I'm not sure how to get out of this one. I think it started sometime last week. I noticed it when he completed my personality awareness exercise. In the exercise, the participant is supposed to pick out six adjectives that best describe me. The adjectives are mostly positive. He chose:

complex ::: caring ::: shy ::: sympathetic ::: tense ::: nervous

My immediate reaction was, "what a jerk." I mean...out of all the positive adjectives, that's the best he can come up with?! But the more I think about it, the more I'm realizing that what I've been putting into the relationship lately hasn't been all that great. I need to work on that. I should probably step away from my computer and spend some time with him.

But before I go....Elly has been showing off her teeth. They have finally broken through the gums. (They are there; trust me!) Two down (almost), an entire mouthful left to go.

Sorry about your funk - I hope it passes soon.

By the way, I LOVE Elly's new pearly whites!

Don't trust that game. The adjectives I put in for myself were very different from the ones that showed up on the screen. Let it serve as a reminder to be good to yourself and your relationship, but don't put all your marbles in that one basket! Keep your chin up, girl.

That photo of Elly reminded me...
Scott W. brought his baby, Willow, into the newsroom today.
She's beautiful. He's so proud. I love it.
